Work and Clients
Sandy is an Assistant Solicitor in the Family Department with eight years post-qualification experience in the field. Sandy prides herself on dealing with matters in a sensitive and constructive manner during what is often a difficult time for clients.
Route to PCB
Sandy worked for the firm's predecessor, Burrowes & Co. After finishing her law degree she left the firm to work for the Legal Services Commission (Legal Aid Board) where she trained in the finance section. Sandy subsequently returned to private practice where she worked for a prestigious firm in Chester dealing primarily with High Net Worth finance cases before returning to PCB in May 2001. She is now jointly head of the Family Department in the firms head office in Shrewsbury together with Mrs Sarah Jane Smith.
Member of:
Law Society's Family Law Panel; Resolution (formerly the SFLA); Advanced Family Law Panel.
Interests outside work
Sandy and her husband have spent the last few years renovating two dilapidated properties on the border of Shropshire and mid-Wales. However, after recently having a child, Sandy finds she has less time for DIY and now concentrates more on enjoying life in her new home where she has acquired geese, ducks and chickens!
