Leading lights of Shropshire business at networking evening
Representatives of some of Shropshire’s top businesses turned out for a networking evening hosted by leading law firm, PCB Solicitors.
The event was launched in 2006 as an opportunity for professionals based on Shrewsbury Business Park, where PCB has its headquarters, to meet.
However after the inaugural networking event it was expanded to the whole of the Shrewsbury business community, following a number of requests from the law firm’s wider contacts.
Around 50 guests were welcomed to the latest event.
PCB Solicitors’ managing partner, Rachael Hughes, said: “Our networking event has turned into a very popular regular occasion. It’s great to have the opportunity to catch up with our friends and colleagues from across the business community in the county town.
“The chance to get together in an informal manner is quite rare and it’s an excellent way for people to put faces to names if they haven’t actually met before. In the current economic climate, which is proving challenging for many businesses, I think it’s more important than ever to keep contacts strong, for everyone’s benefit.”
Guests were treated to drinks and canapés and Rachael added: “I think everyone enjoyed themselves. We’ll be looking to keep the tradition going with another event next year.”
In addition to its Shrewsbury headquarters, PCB has offices in Telford, Church Stretton, Ludlow and Knighton.
