Wills, Trusts, Probate & Estate Planning

One of the most important things you will do...

Making a Will is one of the most important things you can do.

The importance of making a Will cannot be overstated, particularly for the dignity and peace of mind of those you leave behind.

PCB Solicitors LLP has a team of experts with vast experience of all matters relating to Wills, trusts, probate and estates. When we prepare a Will it is individually crafted to the needs of the client to ensure it represents their wishes precisely.

Power of Attorney

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff can assist with all areas related to estate planning. They are also experienced with the creation of the two types of Lasting Powers of Attorney: 'Property and Affairs' and 'Personal Welfare'. The first allows for someone to help you manage your financial affairs, or manage them for you if you no longer can. The second allows for someone to express your views as to your welfare once you have lost the ability to do so yourself.

Living Wills

At PCB we can also advise on ‘Living Wills’. These are variously defined as ‘A document, made by a person when still legally fit to do so, expressing his desire to be allowed to die instead of being kept alive by artificial means, in the event of being severely disabled or suffering from a terminal illness’

We believe in speaking plain English and work to ensure all clients are clear on every aspect of their Will and estate details.

Probate Related Questions

PCB are experts on all matters related to Probate Law, so if you have any questions like:-

  • What is the probate registry?
  • Is Probate always required?
  • How long does Probate take?
Then PCB Solicitors can help

Your wishes respected

Don't be one of the two-thirds of the population who never make a Will. When you die it is important for those you leave behind to be treated with dignity at a difficult time. Having all of your affairs in order and your wishes clearly spelled out will be of enormous help to them and ensures that those who you wish to inherit from you will do so. If you die without a Will there are rules which dictate how the money, property or possessions must be allocated, and this is unlikely to match how you would like it to happen.

Making a Will is easy with PCB Solicitors

Making a Will does not have to be complex, time-consuming or costly, despite it being such an important and valuable document. And if your affairs do require extra careful planning the PCB team has all the expertise and experience to advise on every aspect, including trusts, tax liability and, in particular, Inheritance Tax.

After a death PCB will ensure that a Will is administered with sympathy and efficiency, carrying out all of the processes and administration necessary, such as setting up, managing and winding up trusts.
