Gavin is a Senior Consultant at the firm's Shrewsbury Office. With over thirty years experience, Gavin's practice covers everything from minor motoring offences to murder. He also has considerable experience in representing clients in non-police prosecutions such as those brought by Department of Work & Pensions and trading standards bodies. Although Gavin is based in the firm's Shrewsbury office he undertakes a great deal of work in Telford and North Shropshire.

Gavin trained in Sussex and at a substantial Lincoln's Inn practice in London gaining a very wide experience of non-litigation matters in the trusts, company and commercial fields before moving to become the partner in charge of Criminal work at a large firm in the East End of London. He moved to Shropshire with his family in 1987 and set up his own practice specialising in criminal work. In 2007 he became a consultant with the firm of Patience, Clarke and Burrowes and merged his criminal practice with theirs. He has been involved in local government, ethical medical research and health care disciplinary bodies in Shropshire.

Interests outside work
When not in the police station outside office hours, Gavin enjoys reading, walking and gardening. He is married and has two grown up daughters
