Family Legal Secretary

Job Responsibilities:

· Audiotyping, drafting and amending correspondence and documentation using the case management system when instructed with accurate time recording on matters where required,

· Maintaining calendars across the department with client meetings and court hearings, keeping the Lawyers updated daily,

· Dealing with clients from the outset, liaising between the client, Lawyer and other third parties,

· Liaise with clients and contacts to assist with answering queries both on email and telephone, providing regular updates to the relevant Lawyer,

· Opening and closing files on the case management system (ALB) including archiving,

· Onboarding clients and organising appointments, both face to face and by telephone, managing the Lawyer’s calendar,

· Support Lawyers in the department with the production and submission of client bills,

· Providing excellent client care in line with PCB Solicitors standards.

Essential Skills:

· A strong understanding of Family law is required,

· Have excellent written and verbal communication skills,

· Be able to work in a collaborative manner with the department and wider firm,

· Always be able to retain high levels of confidential information with discretion,

· Be proficient in MS office applications and legal software,

· Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and with others,

· Be highly organised with the ability to manage several tasks at a time with precise attention to detail.

Experience:

· Experience in a Legal Secretarial role is required,

· Experience in Family Law is preferable.  

Job Types:

· Full time, Permanent.

Work Pattern:

· Monday to Friday (35 hours per week).

Place of Work:

· Telford: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

Salary:

· £21,000.00 to £23,500.00 FTE, depending on qualifications and experience.
