Legal Assistant – Care Department
We have an excellent opportunity for a full time Legal Assistant to join our Care department, to be based at our Telford office. Day to day you will be expected to support the department with administrative work such as on-boarding clients, liaising between clients and other third parties, drafting and considering legal documentation, as well as attending court on behalf of the Solicitor for note taking purposes.
We are looking for a dynamic, self-motivated and advantageous individual who enjoys engaging in business development and will support the growth of the department and firm. The successful candidate will work as part of a friendly, supportive, and approachable team.

Job Responsibilities:
· Dealing with clients from the outset, answering phones, greeting clients at the office, and liaising between the client, lawyer and other third parties,
· Onboarding clients such as organising appointments, both face to face or by telephone, and taking initial instructions from clients,
· Attending court on behalf of the lawyer for note taking purposes,
· Consideration and drafting of documents and preparing perusal notes when instructed using the case management system,
· Managing calendars, records and court timetables,
· Providing excellent client care in line with PCB Solicitors standards,
· Build strong client relationships with new and existing clients.
Essential Skills:
· Highly organised with precise attention to detail,
· Efficient in using MS office applications such as Word,
· Have experience using case management and legal systems such as ALB,
· Able to work under pressure and retain high levels of confidentiality at all times,
· Proven internal and external communication skills,
· Maintain your continuing professional development requirements and stay up to date on relevant changes in Family law,
· Work in a collaborative manner within the team and wider firm,
· Be proactive and self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and with others,
· Have a positive approach to tasks and a strong work ethic.
Job Types:
· Full time, Permanent.
Schedule:
· Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
Place of Work:
· Telford – reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required).
PCB Solicitors do not offer visa/sponsorship or relocation packages.
Experience:
· Previous experience working in a Legal Support role is required,
· Experience working in Childcare/Family Law is an advantage,
· Experience working with Legal Aid is an advantage.
Salary:
· £22,000.00 to £23,900.00, per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
