PCB Secures Industry Recognition
PCB Solicitors has been recognised for the second time by a leading industry body to provide certified advice on the property-buying process.
PCB has recently been successful in securing membership to the Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS), a recognised quality mark for legal experts in buying or selling property, supported by some of the UK’s biggest financial lenders.
The Conveyancing Quality Scheme requires Law Society firms to undergo rigorous examinations to demonstrate that they have the knowledge, expertise and skills, to provide quality conveyancing advice to homebuyers. The process ensures professionals adhere to all good practice management standards, procedures and protocol, and in order to uphold the membership, practices are required to undergo strict assessment, training, audits and annual reviews to evidence its commitment to the scheme.
Rachael Hughes, Managing Partner at PCB Solicitors, said: “We are delighted to have secured the CQS status, and to have been recognised for the high standards we already provide our clients, standards we are really proud of. Buying and selling a house is a big enough financial decision as it is, and stressful enough without any unforeseen delays, disputes, or additional legal fees, and for this reason it is essential to have an experienced conveyancer on board. Conveyancing is a very specialist area covering everything from obtaining deeds and copies of titles, through to drafting contracts, and liaising with solicitors to ensure a transaction is properly completed.
This is not the first time the firm has been recognised for its quality standards and procedures, PCB Solicitors also holds the Lexcel accreditation, an accolade they have maintained for the past five years. The scheme, which is administered by the Law Society, is only awarded to firms who demonstrate the highest management and customer care standards. The firm undergoes a rigorous assessment each year to certify its standards of excellence in areas such as client care and case management.
