Work and Clients
With nearly 20 years experience in Criminal Law Ruth has dealt with all levels of criminal cases from minor motoring to murder and anything in between. Ruth also has experience in dealing with non-police prosecutions such as those brought by the Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, Trading Standards and the RSPCA etc.
Although Ruth is based in Shrewsbury she also deals with cases before other Courts in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, such as Kidderminster and Hereford, as well as matters further afield.
In addition to police station and Magistrates Court work Ruth is also qualified as a Solicitor Advocate and as such appears in Crown Courts across the region to represent clients whose cases are too serious to be heard in Magistrates' Court.
Ruth was also a member of the Legal Services Commission Duty Solicitor Committee representing solicitors in Kidderminster and Worcester for a number of years and is also the local defence solicitor representative for the Worcester Magistrates Court's User Group.
Route to PCB
Ruth qualified in 1990 having trained at a firm in Hereford before moving to a firm in Worcester where she was a partner and Head of the Criminal Department in both Kidderminster and Worcester for a number of years.
Ruth joined PCB in 2010 as Head of their Criminal Department in Worcester. Ruth moved to the Shrewsbury office in 2016.

Interests outside work
When not working Ruth enjoys reading and cooking. Ruth is also passionate about her Harley-Davidson motorbike and tours the UK, Europe and the USA with her husband as often as she can.
