The annual Young Farmers Rally was hosted by Mr and Mrs Price of The Laws, Knighton, Powys on Saturday 10th June 17. The YFC rally is an annual event hosted each year by one of the thirteen clubs that are members of Radnor Federation YFC. The rally in 2015 was hosted by Teme Valley YFC and PCB Solicitors were the main sponsors that year, it was a very successful year as the hosts won the event, which was the first time that club had won for many many years. As the rally was hosted by Knighton YFC this year, PCB Solicitors again very kindly agreed to be one of the main sponsors of the event which was attended by the staff of the PCB Knighton office, Helen Barrett, Helen Wyles and Lynsey Morris.
PCB banners were displayed around the rally site which was attended by hundreds of local people, both competitors and spectators, and the PCB staff were in attendance handing out complementary ‘welly boot’ key rings, which are always popular with the young farmers and pens and chatting with friends and clients throughout the day.
As usual the standard of competitions was extremely high, many of the competition winners will now go on to Malvern Show and The Royal Welsh to represent the Radnor YFC Federation. Competitions throughout the day include shearing, stock judging, flower arranging, cooking, singing, dancing, dragons den presentation and dressing up a club leader., plus an awful lot more, there really is something for all the members who are aged 11 to 27.
The Young Farmers movement is an incredibly important organisation, teaching young people to be confident and learning life skills that will assist them in the future, skills that include public speaking, presentations, stage performances so that even the shyest of people build confidence throughout their time with YFC. We at PCB Solicitors are delighted to support such an excellent organisation and we wish all the best to the winners of the competitions on Saturday who will now go on to compete at National Level.
Attached are some photographs of Jess Barrett who is a former employee of PCB Solicitors who has worked in both Ludlow and Knighton offices. She had a very successful day at this years rally winning the senior flowers, the dragons den presentation and the promotional sign. Jess will go onto Malvern with the flowers and the Royal Welsh Show with the presentation.
